Car Bafling after cold start up

I have a 1999 Toyota Trueno BZR. The mileage is about 118316. After a cold start up the car does not accelerate fully, it baffles and sputters and you feel this great resistance. It's as if the car is coming to a stop. It happens intermittently when the engine is warmed up, but not to the great extent after a cold start up. The car revs up to about 1200rpm and then back down to 1000rpm on a cold start up. The car will accelerate fully in 1st gear but in second you'll feel the drag. The car uses a MAP sensor no MAF sensor. How do I rectify this problem?

Try checking the MAF and TPS sensor.
