I have an automatic '93 toyota corolla that has about 151,000 miles on it. There are two things that I have a question about. (1) when I start my car it makes a high pitched, loud, squealing noise especially when I turn the wheel. I did a little expirament, (while I was parked) I turned on the AC and turned the wheel both ways and it screatched. Then I cut out the AC and turned the fan off and it didn't make any noise at all. Does this have something to do with a belt? And (2) just recently my car has been making a loud groaning noise. Its getting louder and louder, but it started out when I pushed the accelerator just to get the car moving. It sounds almost like I am flooring it when I am barely touching the pedal. Another way to describe the sound would be to compare it to the cars without mufflers, that roaring noise, but its coming from under the hood instead of from behind the car. I have no idea what this could be, any thoughts? Thank you for you time, I greatly apprechiate it!
