First, I am not certain if I chose the right category, as I am not sure WHERE the cabin air filter IS. Second, assuming it is somewhere INSIDE the cabin, can you tell me how I might be able to replace it, instead of paying a "technician" a hundred bucks to do it for me? Thanks so much, Rob Lowrie

It is located behind the bottom glove box. No tools are needed on the 2009. Locate the strut on the right outside of the glove box, squeeze the keeper together and slide the strut off, move the glove box to one side to release the side stops, and the pull the glove box off the bottom hinges (it just snaps on and off). You will see a black cover over the filter. Pull the right hand tab over to release the cover and remove it. Replace the filter and reverse the procedure. Here are the instructions in the diagrams below to show you how to replace the cabin air filter. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Check the cabin filter. If there is no "this side up" or a flow arrow, it wouldn't make any difference. In many cases they will only fit one way.

Also check the owners manual.
