Transmission problem
2001 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 101000 miles

I accidently drained the transmission fluid, and then over filled the oil spout with new oil.

Now oil dip stick is showing excess oil, while transmission dip stick is dry.

I suspect that now I have to drain all of the oil, and refill the transmission fluid.

Where is oil pan drain plug located?

Thank you.

Oil drain plug is on oil pan. Drain oil from plug, change oil/filter.

Get about 4 quarts of trans fluid, get a funnel and insert in trans dipstick hole. Make sure you have the engine oil problem fixed, pour 1 quart of trans fluid in trans, start engine, check level, add as needed until trans dipstick is full (engine must be running).

DO NOT DRIVE CAR with low trans fluid.
