1995 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 114000 miles

Ive been looking for reasons why my car shakes at idle but cant come up with anything solid. I have a pretty good hunch that its the rear engine tranny mount. When am outside I hear the shaking noise right in that area! Help me please

Raise car, put on stands and with LARGE screwdriver, wedge between mount and body, check for excessive mount movement.

Ohhhh yea. Mount is almost moving freely. I guess it is the mount!

Yes the rubber is probably collapsed or torn.

OK I changed the engine mount. Its like heaven compared to before. There is still a little vibration. Should I change the passenger side mount or the front mount?

Check them first, if OK, then get it aligned.
