Transmission problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 288000 miles

i have a 1993 corolla that when you put it in drive and take off it shifts into gear real slow. You can floor it and it just creeps. But when you put it in 1st gear and take off you can spin the tires off.I took it to a autozone and he put a tester on it and it came up with the codes 62-63-and 64. What do they mean? And what can I do to fix my transmission?

Hi woog58,

Thank you for the donation.

Code 62 = Defective #1 solenoid.
Code 63 = Defective #2 solenoid.
Code 64 = Defective lock-up solenoid.

I would say it is almost impossible for all 3 solenoids to fail at the same time so it could be a wiring fault.

At the transmission, check if the wire harness connectors are correctly and securely connected.

Check for loose or contaminated connectors.

Test the solenoids. I have sent a file to you, let me know if it is helpful.
