Transmission problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 45,000 miles

While changing the speed sensor, the little plastic gear piece fell out of the new sensor (the retainer wasn't on all the way) and into the transmission. How can I get this part out of the transmission?

Hi there,

Hi there, being an auto I really don't think that you will be able to retrieve it, short of removing the transmission, can you see it through the sensor opening with torch and mirror, if you can may be a probe with very sticky grease may snag it.
