Engine Performance problem
1993 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 89,000 miles

About 2 weeks ago I suspected that I had pumped gas with water in it because the ride was very rough and jumpy. It was slow at accelerating and felt like it had sludge issues. Prior to getting gas the car ran perfectly fine, no problems at all. Recently however the car will not accelerate. The engine will rev when the car is in Drive and it will move around 5 miles per hour, but it wont pick up any more speed. It feels like it really is trying to move, and it just never does. At this point I'm suspecting it to be more a transmission problem than something as simple as having water in my gas, however at this point the problem is only worsening, and I have no idea how to remedy the situation.

Remove the fuel filter and pour contents into clear glas container, if water it will be obvious.

If enough water is there, you will have to drain tank.
