1986 TOYOTA COROLLA ENGINE DIES

Engine Performance problem
1986 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl 76000 miles

I am looking at purchasing a 1986 Toyota corolla. The motor dies when outside temp is over 95 Degrees. It sounds almost like a vapor lock problem. Do you have any ideas.

Hi there,

Make sure the engine cooling system is working correctly. As if it is vapor lock it twill be excessive under bonnet temps that are causing it. Normally a full cooling system service will help and lagging the fuel lines can also help.
