I have a 2003 toyota corolla with 60,000 miles on it. A couple months ago it started with a low and rough idle after a stop, not too bad. So I did a tune up and it helped a little. This past week while on the freeway it started acting strange, while at cruising speed it slowed a bit then pulled hard it did this over and over again while gas pedal was kept the same, then when it slowed made some pinging noises. Now it does this at street speeds also but not as severe. I noticed when the engine is cold it drives fine but when up to normal temp the problems start. A week before the problems started I noticed one time when I smelled the cat-converter really bad(like a rotten egg smell) but havent smelled that since. I looked at the spark plugs and two look really black, no noticeable smoke or oil loss, no check engine light. If anyone can help I would be very thankful
have the same problem?
