I am about to have my timing belt changed, and have been advised to replace the water pump at the same time. Is there anything else that should be changed while the timing belt and water pump are being done.

Hi there,

Normaly there is no reason to replace anything else, the water pump is not nornaly changed but if it has been there for some time it's not a bad idea. Just check that there is on oil in side the timing belt cover if so the Cam shaft seal and the front crank shaft seal should be replaced, also check the condition of the drive belts and replace any that that are suspect.
