Hi alan suschanke,

Try spraying some silicone or wax lubricants on the door glass runchannel to see if it helps. Front area is most suspect, try using water to test.

Dead run channel will cause high friction resulting in the slanting glass when going up.

There are no adjustments available.

Start with lubeing the window tracks. You can buy a specific spray on dry lube for this, if the motor is labouring, you may want to remove the trim and lube the winder mechanism, see how that works first.

The driver's window gets off the fitting when I try to close the window. Please suggest the possible problem and cost to get it repaired.

If your handy with tool's and want to save some money you could always pull the inner door panel off and fix it yourself.

Check the door runchannel. If they are bad, they can restrict the door glass movement causing it to go off track. Try some silicone based lubricant onto the runchannel where the door glass slides up. It might require repeated movement up and down to get the door glass moving smoothly again. DO NOT use oil based lubricants such as WD40, they would agrave the problem as oil would damage the runchannels causing the door glass to stick to the runchannels.

Remove the door panel and check the regulator to see if it is securely held. If yes, you would have to replace the runchannel.

I came back from vacation to find the back window on the driver's side won't roll up. The windows are manual. Is this a window regulator problem, and, if yes, approximately how much should it cost to repair this?
