Do you have to change the timing belt every 100,000 miles and why I changed it 102,000
i guess it has one made to wear out not like the old cars where u adjusted it

Hi there,

You should change the timing belt when it is due, 80,000KMs or equivalent miles in your case, this is the safe time to replace the belt, it may last for some time still but the damage it can do if it breaks is considerable, if it fails there is no pre warning at all and the damage is done in a micro second, don't wait, do it when it is due.
