Air Conditioning problem
1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 192000 miles
My 1996 Toyota Camry's air conditioning was working fine until the timing belt went out, then the oil seal had to be replaced and now the air conditioning comes on, but blows warm air. Sometimes the cold air blows for about 15 minutes then it's back to warm air.
My mechanic told me (by only opening the hood and looking inside) that I would need to replace the condenser. That it would cost $150 for a used condenser. This would not include his labor.
I asked if it could just be the freon, but he said no it was the condenser that needed to be replaced.
Help! I don't want to get ripped off.
