Will it turn over? if not, check connections and terminals for corrosion and cracks.

This guide can help fix it

Yes but it will not start. I took the back seat out and tried to start the car and the fuel pump makes a whining noiise. I also sprayed carb cleaner in the intake and it still would not start. Don't know where to go from here. Thanks for your help

If your pump makes a noise then its probably still good, YOur gonna need to check fuel pressure (fuel pressure regulator) and spark.

You need to start from scratch. You need 3 things to run, compression, fuel pressure and spark.

You need a specific amount of fuel pressure to start and is checked with a guage.

From your description, you may have a timing belt failure.

No lights stalls are on also when coming to stop

Yes it will restart, but it sounds like it is starving for gas

Plugs, wires, timing chain, I don't recall if any of the packs were replaced

Do you mean it was difficult to restart?

If that is the case, you might have a failing fuel pump which stops intermittently. Check its relay as well.

Car will crank fine but shuts off when you put it in gear. If I happen to keep it cranked while in drive it has little to no power. Where do I start?

Really. Standard tune up was done 6 months ago. You really think I need to do that again?

Anything can happen in six months time.
How long has this problem been occurring?
Is the Check Engine Lamp indicating and have you tried to retrieve for trouble codes?
What is the idling speed?

One of the common cause for loss of performance would be the Mass Air Flow sensor. Get it checked.

When I completely stop the car at a stop sign or traffic light, sometimes the engine would shut off. Sometimes when I stop and go on first gear, the engine would want to shut off also, if I kept on gas it more, than it wouldn't shut off but it would be on and off for a second. When I brake kind of fast and then tried to go on first gear, the car would be on and off.

Thank you

The description you gave is very vague so it could be a whole lot of things. My first guess however is your torque converter. Your car is getting up there in age and the torque converter might be going bad. It is is sticking then it will slow down the engine because it needs more turning force to start to turn. I suggest taking it to a shop and have them test drive it to see if that's whats wrong with it. If it that is it it will be expensive so shop around

The EGR Valve's are notorious for getting clogged up and needing cleaning or replacement, but that task is about as difficult as just replacing the fuel filter on the car and seeing if that resolves the stalling issue.

We live in Alaska, and have a 93 Camry LE with the EXACT same problems, I cleaned the EGR Valve to no avail so today we are changing the fuel filter.

Bad news if its the EGR Valve, it cost $180 to replace and it has to be prepaid for because it has to come from Toyota themselves, good news if its the Fuel Filter, it cost $10 and should be in stock at your nearest auto parts store.
