My ac will blow out of every vent but the front two. When I got my oil changed it started working. This morning I turned on the defrost and now it doesn't work again. What could it be? When it started working again it was spitting stuff at me. I would like to try and fix it myself if possible otherwise it'll just stay broken. Please help.

If you are lucky, you may hear a whistling sound if there is a leak. Under the dash, you will see vacuum hoses. Just make sure none are broken or disconnected. Also, there is a supply hose from the engine. Make sure it is good.

That is nearly always caused by a bad blower motor resister. It's located under the dash on the passenger side, in the blower housing and next to the blower motor.

The mode doors are operated by an electric actuator that controls air direction. There can be a problem with the door jamming, the actuator itself or the control head that controls it.

Hi lkpowell,

Check for low coolant level in radiator. Symptom indicates a leak in the heater core and coolant level should be low.

Just bought the car, they think the A/C compressor is locked up. Checking out heater and defroster and they only blow cool air. Temp control is in hottest position. Gotta get car ready for my daughter.

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

These cars have a problem with the heater control unit, if the slider on the dash feels stiff, dose not move all the way or is very loose, the control cable or the control is faulty, check the heater tap to see if it is opening or closing, if it is moving the heater tap will be faulty.
