Shutting off while Driving! HELP

I was recently driving my 1999 Toyota 4Runner (97000 miles) going about 70, and the car just shut off and I had to pull over. I looked under the hood and there was no smoke, and the car started up immediately afterwords. I haven't noticed any probems since then, but I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else and what it could be. Thanks.

P.S. I was driving the car fast when this happened. Floored actually. But it was not red-lining.

Same issue happened to me (i have a 97). I had it floored and it just stopped.

Turned out to be the fuel pump. My boyfriend just "banged the gas tank" I have never had that problem since
