93 Toyota 4 runner trouble accelerating

I have a 93 Toyota 4Runner with 225k miles, 5 speed and a v6 engine that seem to have a problem with accelerating. It almost always happens when at a stop light or just after you turn a corner. I can't tell if it is something wrong with the engine or a fuel problem? Any help is greatly appreciated

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or a cat converter that is failing apart internaly.
