Electrical problem
1991 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 214k miles

Hi- My car turns over most of the time but occasionally, I turn the key all the way to the right and instead of cranking over it will make a single thunk noise and not start. Subsequent tries, no thunk and no starting. I walk away from it for a period of time and then try again and it starts. I've already replaced what tested to be a perfectly good Denso starter, my battery is fine, and I'm not sure what to do next. My suspicion is that it is a relay or some worn out wiring. What do you suggest? It would be helpful if you would tell me the location of the parts that you suggest I replace. Thanks so much! - Kelly
