2000 Suzuki XL7 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles
fuse keeps blowing intermittently on (backup lights, turn lights) 10 amp fuse. The car won't come out of Park. I have removed the lock out servo until I can figure this short out. I have also disconnected rear lights, disconnected turn signal connector. I have pulled brake/lockout switch and tested with multi-meter. With 10 amp fuse and brake/lock out switch connected stepping on brake will blow fuse. I put 20 amp fuse in to see if it will blow or cause possible bad component to fail to death. (Smoke test) the 20 amp fuse really sucks the motor down and the rpm motor then makes up the difference. I am really pulling my hair on this one and have almost no hair left! Anyone have some ideas to steer me in right direction?
