I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy that I got this summer. Recently it has been acting pretty strange. Sometimes while driving, the steering wheel will start wobbling back and forth. Its like its jerking back and forth, but it doesnt really effect the overall steering of the car. You can still turn, and go straight while its doing it, but its just really awkward. Sometimes I can drive all the way across town and it wont wiggle at all, then it will just randomly start doing it, and then randomly quit aagin. Also, when you make a right turn theres this flapping noise, like something is being rubbed up against by the tire or something. The flapping noise gets worse the harder you turn the wheel right. I think I remember the guy who I got the car from mentioning the flapping noise, and he said it wasnt a major problem, but ive noticed it's gotten worse since then. If anyone knows what these problems are, and has any "ball-park" idea of how much money its going to steal from my pocket to fix them, it would be greatly appreciated.
have the same problem?
