BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

Hello I own a 01 subaru outback 2.5 liter, auto trans. When it is cold out and I first start the car sometimes the brake warning light will not go out when I release the parking brake, also the daytime running lamps won't come on during this. After about 30 sec-1 min the light goes out and the DRL's come on. I was thinking that since the parking brake switch also controls the DRL's that the switch may be faulty. Someone else suggested that my fluid is slightly on the verge of being low even tho it read between add and full marks. The car has never had any brake service and all brakes works normally. The car has just under 30K. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You, Joey

Either your parking brake switch needs adjustment or the brake fluid sensor is acting up
