I drove about 11 miles home on the freeway going about 70 to 75 mph the whole way. After getting off the freeway, I travelled about a mile and a half to my house on surface streets. Upon putting my car into park at home, my car idled above 2000 rpm. I wonder what the problem is, so I change gears from Park to Reverse and my car jerks backward before getting down to 1000 pm to 1500 rpm. I put it back into park and it still idles a little above 2000 rpm. I change it to Drive and it goes back to 1000 to 1500 rpm after jerking forward. I put it in park, turn off the engine, and start the car. Its back to idling at a normal 800-1000 rpm per usual after starting. How do I fix this?
have the same problem?
