I have a 95 Saturn sl2 1.8 liter I believe with about 120,000 miles on it. The car would rev up and down then stall out. If you gave it gas it would try to stall out before reving up. The service engine soon light came so thought it might be the throtle positioning sensor. I removed the throtle body and replaced the sensor, then noticed the inside of the dampner was caked with sediment so I cleened it with some parts cleaner. After I put the throtle body back on the car it had the same problem, maybe a little worse. Is it possible ruined the sensor with the parts cleaner or could it be another problem? I noticed another senor on the throtle body as well I was wondering what that was. Another problem I'm having is the engine over heats and the fan does not come on. The fan is relativly new, the fuse is good so I replaced the relay and it still doesn't work. PLease Please PLease help.
have the same problem?
