Electrical problem
1999 Saab 9-5 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 136, 00 miles

On accident I connected the battery cables backwards for less than a second. After putting them on correctly I attempted to start the car and it will turn over but will not start. If I add starting fluid it will start and run until it has used up the starter fluid then it dies. I have checked all of the fuses and all are good. I do not hear the fuel pump comming on any more. Is there a safety switch that could be reset?
