Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Saab 9-5 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 82000 miles

I had the water pump replaced in a Saab 9-5 (1999) in Feb 2007 at 60k miles. The same shop is now telling me I have to replace the pump again and my car is only at 80k miles. They want $600 and will knock of about $150 but I feel the part they bought was faulty and they should cover more like $300. Is this normal wear and tear or was the part likely faulty?

Do you
have the same problem?

There is no reason the water pump should go bad in only 20000 miles it sounds like either they had a faulty part or they installed it wrong I would try someplace new
