I have a problem with 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 Auto 185,000 miles. Runs rough as hell all of a sudden loss of power lurching and bucking like its about to die for approximately 3 miles then all of a sudden it quits and runs great for 1 - 3 days and then does it again. It does it when its cold sometimes and it does it when it has warmed up as well. Had diagnostic done at dealer no codes at that time. Compression ck out ok only thing they noted was a.32 misfire on #3, #5 and a.16 on #6 recommended to change plugs, wires, coil, clean injectors, replace fuel filter, clean Maf and reflash PCM. I have done all of that except flash the pcm plus replaced the IAC, TPS, and PCV. Finally the CEL did start coming on and the codes were p0303, p0306 and p0316 (Random misfire in the first 100 rev's.) The truck purrs like a kitten until it just goes to crap out of the blue shakes and lacks power wont idle if I pull over and shut it off and restart it and try to drive through it, it finally after a few miles quits doing it and is back to purring like a kitten. I have spent a solid 2 weeks looking for anything it might be; I cannot hear nor find any vacuum leaks I sprayed water on my new coil and viewed it at night no fire jumping. I have unplugged the three injectors I can reach one at a time no change. Its not over heating no hissing or chirping. Ck'd the booster hose ck the elbow on the PCV I have not had the Cadillac convertor ck yet and I have not replaced the o2 sensors yet or reflashed the PCM those are all next on my list. Anyone at all have any clue I am flat desperate my daughter drives it to college and I don't want her to break down in it. I am almost out of places to look.
Thanks in advance for any help is very appreciated!
