I have a 97 f150 with a v6/4.2L (w/ AC). It has 8 pullies. I need to replace the belt and I think the people at my local auto parts store gave me the wrong one. Which do I need and where can I find a diagram?

I figure I will have to go up there. I have the belt on in the same fashion as the last, but there is so much slack it can't be the right one. While I have your attention. When the belt was on I was having trouble getting the engine to turn over. I put the key in and the battery turns on but I have to lift the hood and touch the two leads on the solenoid. The starter seems to be fine. Is it the solenoid itself I need to replace?
