I have to replace the power source control module (part # 89670-41010) on my car listed above. Does this module need to be programmed after installation? Thanks

Yes, the Power Source Control Module (part # 89670-41010) on your 2008 Toyota Avalon will need to be programmed after installation. This module is responsible for controlling various systems in your vehicle, including the engine and transmission, and it communicates with other modules in the car via a network called the Controller Area Network (CAN).

When a new Power Source Control Module is installed, it will need to be programmed with the correct software and vehicle-specific data, such as the VIN number and mileage. This programming is typically done using a specialized diagnostic tool or programming equipment, which is only available to authorized Toyota dealerships and qualified repair shops.

It's important to have the Power Source Control Module programmed properly after installation to ensure the proper operation of your vehicle's systems. Failure to do so could result in issues such as poor performance, reduced fuel efficiency, or even damage to the vehicle. Therefore, I would recommend having the Power Source Control Module installed and programmed by a qualified technician who has access to the necessary equipment and software.
