Electrical problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

Both of my brake lights are out, I assume it's the fuse, but I don't have the manual. I need to know which fuse. Thanks

Check fuse no.22 if okay and there's power at the pink and dark blue -adjust or replace the brake switch

The factory installed Tow package (Class 111 Hitch) on my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 6cylinder engine does not work. Fuse checks good but cannot locate the the circuit breaker located near the fuse panel because I can't find the ID number forthis item. Local Jeep Dealers cannot help!

Cannot find location of Circuit Breaker for the towing function. Have looked in" Mitchells" used by Repair Shops. No Luck and No tail, brake, or turn lights either. Good luck!

I have a 96 Cherokee Sport. Behind the spare tire, behind the trim panel is the wiring and the three relays and circuit breaker for my tow package option. Simple test for the circuit breaker is either a test light or DVM to test for 12vdc (ground one lead, touch other lead to both sides of circuit breaker). All three of my relays were internally rusted. Probably from condensation over time. Napa has the relay for under 12 dollars each. My Jeep had relay part number AR634. Check Napaonline. Com for correct relay for your year and model Jeep.

I remove a small black relay instead of the red one that I needed. Now I do not know which slot it goes into.

Yes it helps a bit. However, the diagram you provided is correct to a point. Instead of being the horn relay, I have a blue relay (Chrysler #56007348) that is the dual flasher (which I assume does both hazard AND turn signals)

Yes, 93--94, the horn relay is correct. 95--the flasher is in that spot, and the horn relay is in top left empty spot, diagram, no. 5 spot.

I just didn't read far enough in the info.

Replaced the relay in it's correct spot, still don't know why turn signals don't work.
