Okay, so I brought this car from from a dealer here in New Zealand, it was a Japanese import, passed all certifications, and it has a factory stock standard radio in it, and their mechanic installed a band expander in it when I brought it, as by default the radio cannot pickup most the popular NZ radio.
The problem I have, is when I am driving around town, the radio keeps randomly dropping in and out all over the place, but when it goes, it sounds like another radio station is being picked up but much quieter.
At the moment, my guess is maybe band expander is faulty, or, maybe it is of poor quality and thus why it cannot single-out a station (Isn't sensitive enough).
Any idea's on how to fix?
