Proportioning valve location

Can you tell me what the part is on the drivers side of the master cylinder shown? I thought it is a proportioning valve.

Hello,

That is a residual pressure valve made to hold a very slight amount of pressure to the front brakes. Mostly used to keep the brakes dry in wet weather. Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.
