I just bought a new altinater about 5 months back and its been working fine and just replaced the battery and both positive and negative cables not 3 days ago and the battery is draining and now when I go to turn it over nothing works not even the dome lights I was wondering if you could give any insight of what may be wrong It would help so much.

Hello, you didn't leave a wire unhooked at the starter solenoid? I'm not sure of the litre size of your engine? My info appears to show the charge wire from the generator goes to the starter solenoid, attaches to the same terminal as the positive battery cable.

If you have a digital voltmeter, we can do some testing. You need to make sure the battery has a full charge.
