Engine Performance problem
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

My car is running like it has bad fuel or a bad fuel filter. Its missing like its not getting fuel. I put some seafoam and changed the fuel filter. That seemed to fix the problem for about 5 minutes. I can start the car and it will idle fine until I start to drive then it drives fine for a few seconds then starts to sputter out and backfire. It doesnt die unless I flood it out by pushing the pedel to the floor. What should I check next?

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Idle air control valve.
