Noises problem
1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70,500 miles

Recently a low humming noise has started from the front derivers side. It occurs when speeds reach > 30mph. I have dis-engaged the transmission and reved the engine but neither have any impact on the noise. The sound changes with the speed of the car. The tires are in good condition and nothing appears to be rubbing. Could this be a bad CV joint?
