I am having an issue with the install of the new sway bar. It appears to be rubbing against the tie rods? Any suggestions?

Hello,

It seems you have the wrong sway bar but to be sure here are diagrams below so you can see what's going on. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

It would be a good idea to replace the links on both sides. Check our site's menu for a link to discount auto parts.

I am in a GP club and we all use Ed Morad Parts. He is a great guy to deal with. He even flys to our annual Branson get togethers. You can look him up on ebay also. Good luck!
We have get togethers all the time and work on each others cars. For free. Search us GP forums.

The stabilizer runs from one side to the other. It is mounted in rubber bushings and fastened to the frame. Remove the steel mounts that hold the rubber bushings and bar will come off.

Replace in the reverse order.

Raise car, put on stands, remove the end links then sway bar hold down bolts, install new bar and bushings/bolts.

You would need an additional jack to get end links aligned in order to install sway bar end links
