Engine Performance problem
2003 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 145000 miles

My car sometimes revs really high. It will start out at 2 when I start her up, then as I am driving it will increase in speed without any gas pedal pressure, when I put it in park she revs all the way up to 3. I can feel the pull when I brake and I am not sure this is good on the brakes. What could it be?

AN idle that high is usually a vacuum leak. Check all vacuum lines.
