Heater problem
1996 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 155000 miles

I am getting intermittent heat from my van.

When I am idling, the heat is cool to slightly warm but when I start driving, the heat works fine. When I slow down or come to a stop, the heat goes back to slightly warm again. The coolant level is fine and the car is not overheating. Somebody suggested the water pump. What do you think?

Most often, insufficient heat is the result of a thermostat sticking open. After that, an obstruction in the heater core.
