1994 Plymouth Voyager alternator change

The lower bolt will not clear to be backed out is there a "trick" or method I am missing. I was unable to locate a haynes or chiltons manual so I am completing "in the blind" on this project, thanks!

Thanks for the reply! This site is an awesome resource, I appreciate it! The problem I am having is the lower bolt is literally a millimeter or so from clearing what looks like an exhust manifold cover or something.

Can you find the engine size
and if it s an exhaust shield it should be flex to work with
