Electrical problem
1998 Other Plymouth Models 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 121000 miles

WE HAD THE FUEL FILTER REPLACED IN NOVEMBER OF 2007, THE VAN USUALLY IS ONLY DRIVEN ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF TOPS AT A TIME. MOSTLY IN TOWN DRIVING. WE HAD A MORNING OF STOPPING AND GOING FOR YARD SALES AND RAN THE AC MOST OF THE TIME. AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS THE VAN STARTED TO SPUTTER AND ACT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO DIE, WE TURNED THE AC OFF AND IT SLOWED DOWN SOME, BUT STILL SPUTTERED. WE TOOK IT ONTO THE HIGHWAY TO SEE HOW IT RAN THERE AND NOT TO MUCH LATER IT TOTALLY DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. ANY CLUES AS TO WHAT THIS MIGHT BE? WE PARKED IT, LET IT SET OVER NIGHT THEN WENT TO START IT UP AND THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE PUT A THING OF FUEL CLEANER IN IT TO MAKE SURE THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM, PUT A NEW BATTERY IN IT, AND IT ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO START BUT WON'T.

If it is trying to start, have you checked for fuel to the engine and spark to the plugs? Let me know what you found.
