Electrical problem
1989 Other Plymouth Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

This van belongs to a friend of mine. She told me it would start and drive. Then the engine would stop and she would coast to the side of the road. By shaking the wiring harness the van would usually start. But no more.

The wiring harness she would shake is the one in front of the engine.

I removed the plastic wiring cover and inspected the wires as well as the connectors. They all seem fine with no cracks, breaks, or other visual problems. The connectors are clean and connect well.

The engine turns over, and there is no spark.

Is there anything else I should look for? Replacing the harness does not make sense to me if I can't find a fault.

Thank you for your time.
