1997 Peugeot 406 engine management light

Ive just changed my drive belt on my peugeot 406 now it wont start and the engine management light is staying on its confused me. Im not sure if the timing would have been knocked out or my immobiliser has reset. HELP anyone its bugging me now lol.

Check the battery is good. Check all wiring is not loose. Have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve the fault codes to pinpoint why the EM light is on
