We were told by auto shop that there was no way to tell if there was a problem with the power steering pump or the lines. They suggested that we replace the pump, hoping that that would fix it. If that isn't it, then we should fix the lines/hose. There is power steering fluid, but the wheel is still hard to turn. Is there a way to find out for sure if the problem is with the pump or the line, so as to avoid fixing something that isn't broken?
