Hard to start last few days, did not start today, brought battery to store for 45 minute test which failed. Bought new battery and installed, quickly started then shut off, cranked again and stayed lightly on the gas and it ran normal, release gas and it quietly shut off. Did this a few times with same result. Now driving my wife's car and lost my "man-card" until this is solved!

This guide may help as well:

I have an 2005 Equinox. I was going down the highway and it just shut off and will not start back up. I took the fuel line loose and it was not pumping fuel. After it sat overnight it started up and went about four miles then it did the same thing. I found two wires underneath the car that were broken, one red and one white. I taped them back and it ran fine idling, but it shut off when I put it in gear. Now it does nothing. I checked all the fuses and relays. I am stumped. Please help
