I am asking questions because I not only think I was ripped off, but my safety as well. I took my car 7 months ago for brakes (just pads, and I thought they trued the rotors), they were making the indicating noise. When I left the shop the noise was gone. Then this past sunday, I took my car for tires. They told me I needed front brake pads and rotors, I said there was no way - I just had this done 7 months - 11,700 miles ago. Sure enough it was metal on metal and the rotors where destroyed. I asked to keep the pads and rotors because I feel like something is really wrong here. I took the car to the same " chain" place except 2 different locations. And 2 different stories. Please help. I am looking for opinions, because if they did not change these pads 7 months ago, that means they turned me lose in the ice and snow. On bad breaks.
