About 1 year ago, I bought a used Nissan Versa (2008) and I want to start off right by getting in the proper maintenance done each year. So, I called an Auto shop and asked what they could do for me and the guy said it sounded like I wanted a 'look-over'. This costs $98 and nothing is actually done, only looked-over. If anything needs done (fluids need topping off, battery needs serviced, air filter needs changing, radiator needs cleaning). Then I will have to pay for these things ON TOP of the $98. Does this sound reasonable? Is $98 too much to pay just to simply found out what actually needs servicing, which will then require me to turn around and pay more money? Any advice on what I should do/ask for/pay, would be great!
