2001 Nissan Primera 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 72000 miles
I'm new to these forums so unsure of procedures. Anyway here goes.
We own a 2001 Nissan Primera 1.6 UK built. Over the past 3 years we have replaced (on the advise if a qualified mechanic) 2 CV joints, brake pipe and most recently the calliper, all on the front passenger side.
The braking system fault has still not been resolved(if anything it's worse) and we are now experiencing the following:
a) The ABS light constantly lit on dash (was intermittent until yesterday)
b) The ABS braking system constantly pulsing - sounding a bit like air escaping from something or a pressure release value.
c) Having to top up brake/clutch reservoir with DOT4 fluid every week.
d) There appears to be a knocking sound coming from the left front of car when wheel turned sharply - especially from starting position.
The car is doing very low mileage per annum so there is no reason why we should have to change the CV joint each year. Advised by the mechanic that CV joints should only last a year. Not exactly happy with that explanation, hence the question directed to the forum.
Can anyone please help? Many thanks
