Hello,

I have included the information you requested in the diagrams down below. It looks as if the Vehicle Speed Sensor is located in the transmission with a redundant system in the combination switch. Please go through the information and get back to us with what you find out. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Thanks,
Alex

Electrical problem 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 113500 miles

I'm getting a trouble code that my vehicle speed sensor is malfunctioning. However, I can't seem to locate the speed sensor on the vehicle. I went to a Nissan dealer and they provided me with a diagram showing the speed sensor is located on the transfer case of the transmission (drivers side). However, I have looked all over and can't seem to find the sensor on the vehicle. Where is this sensor located? The model is SE and the engine size is 3.5L.

Hello -

VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR

Removal & Installation

1. Remove bolt and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). See Fig. 14 .

2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW "O" ring on VSS. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

The information is really slim

I have attached one pic above and it looks like they also call it a Revolution sensor. Yellow and orange and possible a black wire.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers
