1999 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic
My 1999 Nissan Maxima won't start, it was working fine the day before. I thought it might have been the battery b/c the weather has been really cold, so I had a neighbor help jump my car; no go on my vehicle after 45 minutes. We went o-reilly and tested the battery, it was good. The people thought it might have been the starter, but I have had no indication of the starter going out in the months before. My mechanic tested the vehicle and it showed that the battery and starter had enough and juice. He suggested that it probably has something to do with the anti-theft system b/c my mini remote controller to lock or unlock my car was not working properly even after the battery was changed. The door will unlock but not lock on my controller. Also the security light has been on. I read in my owner's manuel about the nissan vehicle immobilier system and I thought that might be another issue. Since, the weather has been really cold could that cause the anit-theft system to stop working.
have the same problem?
