First, did you remove the cap on the master cylinder when you pushed the pistons back? Did you open the bleeder to push the pistons back? When you push the pistons in, you do need to pump the pedal to push them back out, this is done to seat the pads in thier new operating position. Sometimes if these steps arent followed, the master cylinder can have an internal seal go!
